A Nonlinear Optimization Design Algorithm for Nearly Linear-Phase 2D IIR Digital Filters

In this paper, a new optimization method for the design of nearly linear-phase two-dimensional infinite impulse (2D IIR) digital filters with separable denominator is proposed. A framework 2D IIR formulated as nonlinear constrained problem where group delay deviation in passband minimized under prescribed soft magnitude constraints and hard stability requirements. To achieve goal, sub-level sets deviations are utilized to generate sequence filters, from which one best performance selected. The quality obtained filter evaluated using three factors, namely, factor Qh Qτ, while third Qs that assesses stopband relative minimum gain passband. proposed implemented interior-point (IP) MATLAB environment, experimental results show designed have good response low deviation. resulting compared other methods.
